Robert and Charmaine Price African American Heritage Bowl

Saturday, March 23,2024, 9 a.m. at the African American Museum of Dallas

For a second year, the African American Museum, Dallas and the W. Marvin Dulaney Branch of the Association for the Study of African American Life and History (ASALH) have partnered to host the Robert and Charmaine Price Know Your Heritage Bowl on Saturday, March 23, from 9 a.m. until approximately noon at the African American Museum, Dallas in historic Fair Park.

Free and open to the public, the friendly competition pits teams of middle and high school students against each other to showcase their knowledge of African American history.

Complete with prizes and fun, the event marks the culmination of a months-long effort to encourage African American middle and high school students to study their history.

The African American Heritage Bowl has been renamed the Robert and Charmaine Price Heritage Bowl in honor of the remarkable contributions of two outstanding individuals. For 60 years, Robert and Charmaine Price have been advocates for education and leaders in their community.

This year, we are proud to host over 20 teams of talented middle and high school students from North Texas school districts. Among them, the defending champions – Dallas Independent School District’s Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts.

Join us in celebrating this rich heritage of knowledge, talent, and dedication. The Robert and Charmaine Price Heritage Bowl is not just a competition; it’s an opportunity to inspire young minds, foster growth, and create lasting memories.
